Review:

I finished this book in one night! As a Black woman, every bit of this book was relatable. I heard and saw myself, my life, and my family.

I love every bit of Austin’s story from learning to the background story of her name to how modern-day events affected her life.

I held back tears throughout as the Black experience was so well displayed with grace yet bluntness.

This is a good read for all!

A needed and required anti-racism resource. It enlightens the life and challenges of a Black woman and how our lives are preoccupied in white is right.

There are real-life examples that I encounter in all of my jobs – putting white safety and emotions first.

Thank you, Austin for writing this beautiful piece of work.
